My prediction is that Aravis will go through the desert, find Shasta and take the path of Narnia to warn Susan. I believe that because Aravis heard the plans of the prince when she was hiding behind the sofa.
I read through the chapter and now I know that my prediction was correct. Aravis did find Shasta and did set out for Narnia.
From what I read, the more comfortable time to cross the desert is at sunset because you can still see and the sun doesn’t burn you. The more the sun goes down, the colder and darker it gets. If it were I who had to cross the desert, I would bring food, drinks, a jacket and a flashlight for safety. I would also bring boots so I don’t get feet burn.
Who would get to Narnia first, Rabadash or Aravis? I think Aravis and Shasta would because they brought 2 narnians horses. Rabadash brought like 200 horses and soldiers with him. It would take a long time to sleep, eat and drink with 200 horses and soldiers. Besides, Bree and Hwin are narnians so they know the way. The other 200 don’t (they are calormen not narnians).
The world that catches my attention was “Nightingale”. I remembered that it was a bird that sings at night because of a story that I read few years ago. In this chapter, the horses and the kids fell asleep by singing caused by a bird. I think you know who that is, a Nightingale!

Brilliant job Gabriel! I am amazed by your wonderful thinking! I really like how you described when to cross the desert. I also like how you connected to the book by saying what you would bring on a journey through the desert.
